I would like to know what joystick you think is best for CH and other sims. My good old Flightstick is getting unstable and i`ll probably buy a new stick tomorrow so if you please could suggest some options.
-Thanks

I have a Saitek X36 USB . I think it`s a great joystick. it`s not very expensive either. And it`s easy to use.

The Saitek X36 Combo is very good... and it's not "just a joystick"... it's a stick, and a throttle with a ruder build in. This is a good HOTAS, and has a perfect price tag... $100 is not much compared to the $200 to $300 you have to pay for a thrustmaster combo of like nature. And, best of all it works out of the box with EECH!

I think the good old Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro is a good choice. Force Feedback or not, it is excellent for playing EECH and also not bad in MS FLIGHTSIM 98/2000

I have heard the X-36 usb works but be warned about most USB sticks with CH as they do not work and there is no support.

I'm seriously considering getting the Saitek X36 myself. Regarding the USB issue, I think the X36 comes with both USB and standard gameport connectors, so if you did have problems using it with USB, you could maybe just plug it in the gameport instead. Maybe someone else could confirm whether or not this is correct? By the way, there's lots more info on the X36 at www.saitekhelp.com

This is not accurate. You have read several postings about USB not working on the forum, but how many people are going to start a thread, "Everythings great... that's it"? I have a Saitek X36 USB and have never had trouble with it. Before that, I was playing EECH with a Logitech Wingman Digital Extreme USB w/ no issues. It depends on the particulars of your system.
Both of the above controllers, btw, have a USB and a gameport interface. Try to get a separate Throttle and Stick if possible.
