I have an older CH Pro Throttle. I expierence wierd problems with it on EECH. Sometimes I get only 33% throttle power. I reboot, and then get a problem where I get off the ground with a 110% spike then I plumet to the ground when I try to recover.

Does this sound like it needs to have a cleaning or is it a memory problem, since I'm only running 80mb? I've been putting off getting the memory, but I may have to kick my cheap ass and get a stick of 128 since it's a t a good low price these days. ANy help would be appreciated, especially if someone has expierenced the same probs.

The reason I ask is because the throttle isn't that old, but my wife smokes cigs around the computer while checking her mail ( cleaning? ). Or is it a common prob for those throttles to crap out after only a year of use?

There is a three year'S warranty on ch gear, so it might not be that common after just a year of use. Mine is Pro Throttle and F16 Fighterstick, I currently play EECH a lot, but I never faced that sort of problem, or any other problem with ch gear. Wish you luck, unfortunately I cannot offer you any remedy. Watch six, out.

I don't have any CH gear but it really sounds like it needs cleaning. Have you ever serviced a machine that a smoker uses? Phucking nightmare! I know I service my fathers!

Ban the wife from smoking next to the machine! I would! I've just got my TM gear I'd hate to lose it due to ciggy smoke! PCs are delicate and expensive pieces of kit they don't like grimey tar clogging them up!

Joysticks first, hard drives and CDroms next!

HA HA!...I have banned the wife from smoking near the computer. Problem is...I work a lot of night shift work. SO as you can imagine...she doesn't heed the rules. I guess I do have to clean it as a start then, but doesn't opening the throttle void the warranty? She wants a new pute this summer. Maybe I'll get her a new one and keep ole' reliable...*smile*

"Ole' Reliable" consists of NO original parts. I think my rig is the most bastardized machine on the net...*smile* I built it myself from old parts on my original machine...then eventually changed the MB and CPU completing the full swap of parts. Now I just need another tower to make one for my daughters learning games. My wife can have the 900mhz crap with the 256mb memory. I'm happy with the reliability of my machine now. It never crashes or locks....not yet anyway..*smile*

PLUS I like to "see" what's going on when my system boots as apposed to those friggin' Compaqs and Dells that hide all that $hit from yah. She can have that!

I have a CH Throttle as well and I can't get it to do a damn thing in EECH. Neither the throttle or my Flightstick Pro show any response in EECH.

Works flawlessly in other games, including EEAH.

Go figure....

Hi,

I use CH Pro Trottle, Fighterstick and Pro Pedals. I've been using those for the last 3 years (or so) and i smoke like an engine .

Have you try resetting the throttle (press the 3 buttons) upon rebooting?

In your speedkeys, do you have the throttle slider's program keys to "external joystick" and key mode as "incremental" ?

Then in your game controller, how is it setup like? I have mine at 4 axis and 4 buttons...

Enforcer.

ZOIKES Enfo! I'll have to check all that, but if I reset my throttle...won't that get rid of my programed button settings? I have the ole' DOS set-up program that came with it. You using that one?

When you going to fly on the net again you fool?....*smile*
