Why are the front lines in the Syrian Campaign on the outskirts of Damascus? Are there any plans for a level editor of any sort so that we can modify terrain allegiances? I can bet that if the war reaches Damascus it's probably already over..

You might want to try renaming the .SID files to .PSD and editing them in Photoshop. Then changing the extension back to .SID
That might change the initial controlled area. I've not done it myself so can't say if it works or not.
