OK, I've been playing this game for a few weeks now and I still don't really understand the tactical interface. Specifically, how do I consistently fly from the same base or FARP? I'm always jumping in and out of strange choppers and I don't feel like I have any say in the targets. Any suggestions? Thanks

Well I would hope so since you are Frogger!
:-)
The computer spits out missions using a formula and it generously allows us mere humans to jump in and control attack/recon helos. It is kinda impersonal in that respect. I take advantage of that very fact though. If I get killed its not the end of the war for me. Just a slight setback.
If there is one particular helo flight that you like to fly, try only selecting them at the available-unit option.
Also, there is nothing stoping you from flying multiple sorties in the same flight. Refuel & rearm and go on back to hit another target. Just don't let autopilot land at the final waypoint after you get the mission completed status.

Hurc,
Hehe, good one on the "frog" thing . OK, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. If I do go back out on another sortie I can't set the waypoints. Is that correct? The impersonal thing sort of ruins the immersion factor for me but I suppose I'll get used to it. Thanks!

The good thing is that if u keep on wanting to fly the exact same helicopter u can by looking under groups u can keep not of the Flight name ( Lima 1-1 etc ) the only problem is that when a flight lands that group of helicopters wont be ready to go out again for at least 10 minutes ( rearm, repairt, refuel ). If u want to play it so u always go from the same base with the same helicopter u can but u wont get in as many missions per day that way.

Incorrect - you should be able to add/change waypoints for any aircraft( even jets and transports). Exceptions are landing/take off and target X waypoints.
