OK this is bound to stir up some old wounds between TNT owners and 3Dfx owners but guys.. I ran EAW last night using my BRAND SPANKING NEW TNT2 at 1280x1024 and it was freaking BEAUTIFUL!! i setup a single mission intercept using 4 FW190 long noses.. against FiFi's B-26s.. (hahah Take ZAT KRASH! LOL)mit ME410s as secondary flights at Dawn.. and it was so DAMN gorgeous i sat back and watched the movie... with the red glows of the predawn sun and the glow of the tracers comming from the B-26s and FWs it was a glorious site to behold the mass amounts of A/C in the air all at once was astounding OH GOD I LOVE THIS SIM!!...

Just as a test i pulled out my Monster 3d2 and put it into my other PC and created a MEGA monster.. Bumped my res on the TNT2 to 1024x768 and ran a side by side comparision and boys the res is there but the image quality was lacking something using Glide against TNT2s D3D.. even ran D3D on both and still TNT2 won out.. sorry boys but I LOVE TNT!!!

I notice, Cfran, that you carefully avoid mentioning the outcome of this little furball, which we can only assume therefore went in favour of the Fifi B26s!! OH and wot, no escorts for Fifi? How convenient for your 190s...

You try to abdicate responsibility for the fight by saying you were 'just watching the movie'...well, I say, get back into the cockpit big fella and we'll see ya at Angels 20!! EAW is not a spectator sport!

Krash

(What am I talking about? I never flew the B26 until yesterday...doctor, more Dried Frog Pills)

HAHAHAhA krash sorry forgot to mention the High flying Mustangs that were shooting at air and spirally to the ground from the heavy fire of the FWs and MEs...LOL oh and before i took the spectator view i check my guns on 6 B-26s and they seemed to work fine cause all i saw was fire and smoke on the receiving end.. hahahah but sadly i didnt see any pumps of female undergarments coming my way ..... HHEHEHE

My two penny's worth:
I can see Chris's point but it's exactly the same solution to watching a really bad tv show....turn it over and watch something else. I'm sure if the forum is not to your taste, and you looked hard enough, you could find another. In the mean time, if the greatest worry you have is having to skip over the Germglish posts in a chat forum, then you are a very lucky individual indeed

Hmmm, a blip. A mere glitch. Put it down to luck (and 20mm cannons). Wouldn't have happened in Bridgitte's day...sigh. Just remember in your gloating, VE Day IS inevitable!

I prefer the higher picture and color quality of the Matrox G400 MAX, even if I do lose a couple of frames per sec to the TNT Ultra 2.

My 2 pence.

Karnak,

I wouldve gone for the Max because of its dual monitor capabilities also except.. for the Price and the hard to get availability of the Max.. beside for $120 USD (given by your inlaws) for a TNT2 it aint bad..
