Well, starting tomorrow, CombatSim.com is charging $3.95 a month for forum use. Since I refuse to pay to get on forums, this is probably going to be the last message I post. I'll still be on the SimHQ and AVSIM with the user name Timbo.

See you all later!

Well... this is sad. I guess I'll also be saying good bye. Thanks to all who contributed here in Screenshot Gallery. It's been fun seeing all your awesome screenshots.

Until CombatSim is free again,

Singer high, signing off. Out.

Ah ****. That is really lame. Not that $4 is alot (actually probably $100 canadian ) but it is too much of a hassle. Im sure im not the only one that thinks so, many others will drop off the boards as well.

I think Csim just bum ****ed themselves.

Ill probably be on Simhq and Flanker2.com from now on, see ya there.

Goodbye Comrades!!!

I'll be on the Simhq message boards under Viper if you wanna meet up.

My ICQ# is 83826992, remember that.

Well, it's been a real great experience.

Here's my $0.02 on the issue.

1. This is the end of combatsim, people will move to the simhq boards and who is actually gonna pay $4 when there are free ones available???

2. Fine, charge me for C-Sim, i'll take my business elsewhere.

3. I would have liked another week to say goodbye and make some last posts but no....

well, there's nothing I can do about it now but pack my bags and move on.

GOODBYE!!!!!!!!

What?? That's kinda dumb IMHO, but hey, I'm not trying to make money on a site. Can't they just have pop-ups or something? Even that makes more sence than charging for forum use. I guess this is my last post, thanks everyone for helping me when I needed it, and for being patient with any dumb questions I might have asked... I enjoyed speaking with you all, it's nice to talk with other people who share a love of sims like I do. My friends can't see the lure of "virtually" dodging SAMs at 400knots with your butt in the weeds while trying to get that pesky *insert juicy target here*, SA-10 site, power plant, etc., but I love it! Also, I want to thank all the people who make sims great, particularly the whole Jane's Team, Hornit, Matt Wagner, Zambo, Singer High, and Fritz, just to name a few who have made simming more fun for me. Thanks for F/A-18, which, again IMHO, is the best sim ever made. I still feel as much enthusiasm for it today as when I first installed it. This probably sounds stupid, but oh well. I just really like sims, and it's nice to be able to meet and thank people who 1. feel the same way, and 2. Make them and make them better. It's rare to be able to interact very much with the people who do something you like. I'm a big NASCAR fan, for example, but I don't think I'd get much response if I sent a letter to them thanking them for being cool. Thanks to these message boards, I've been able to do just that with another of my hobbies. Sounds corny I'll bet, but hey, it's nice to vent your feelings once in a while.
Thanks again, see ya on JCN maybe.

tomcat, aka strafe_rag, aka Darryl Andrews, aka 14th_*something* eventually....

Bye all.
