Most sims I own (F4, USAF, TAW, CFS) use the 3dfx-chipset to smoothen surfaces. On mig alley the world consists of squares, like EF2000 V2. Is this m-a specific or is there a graphic preference I missed?

I set the filtering option in the preferences to 'Tri-linear' rather than 'All' which gets rid of a grid-effect on the terrain, if that's what you're talking about.
