Datajack has forwarded me the update to the Art Manager. It is now available for download from my site.

F/A 18 Art Manager Update to Version 1.0.25
-------------------------------------------

This new version has the following fixes/changes:

- I changed the way I bring up the help file/Resource Center Website.
Hopefully it will solve the problem once and for all.

- I added a menu command under the Options menu called "Select Browser"
If you STILL have problems with the Help file and web links in the program,
select "Select Browser" from the Options menu. From here you will be able to
supply F/A-18 Art Manager with the direct path to your browser. The program
will use this information from then on to load the help file and to bring up
Fritzdog's site.

- I now check for read-only attributes before installing addons.
If a file I am going to copy over is readonly I remove the readonly attribute and
then I copy the file. This should eliminate the permission denied error.

- In the Add Wizard, I now default the "Section" to the section you are
currently in.

- I fixed the "directory" misspelling in the Edit screen.

- Added a "help" message before being prompted to select the F18.EXE
so the Art Manager knows where Janes F/A-18 is installed.

thanks for keeping current...
A question about installing files that require files to go to different places.(ie Ncape, Ncape\Objects
it seems you have to copy all to one place.
...can this be done?
thanks

jimvictor-
I think by default all files are mapped to the ...ncape/objects folder. The reason being that about 95% of the art related files go here. If some of the files actually need to go into the ...ncape folder then you need to use the edit function to tell those files where to go. For instance the Texfix has files that need to be mapped to both locations. Hopefully whoever created the art package will have information in the readme that tells you where each file should go.

Any other download links? For some reason the one on your page doesn't work for me.

Thanks Again.

DataJack, Frizdog, in your "add wizard" why not give us more control over where the files are put? This removes the redundancy of having to use the editor to relocate the files again. It would also stop those misplaced files from cluttering up our objects folder.
