Hi all. I have been playing usaf for some time now but have just noticed i am getting cyan coloured blocks in the hud and mfd pages. i recall this happening before but it went away.

i tried rebooting and checking graphic settings but no luck. although its a fairly recent reinstall, it hasnt done this from the start. it has been patched, and had the tbirds addon, but because i play games erratically, (different one each week) i cant remeber what i may have done to cause this.

my specs are
p3 733
voodoo5 with dx8 drivers
win98 se
dx8.0
thinks thats all thats relevant. if anyone has a fix for this please let me know cause its too good to be spoiled by this.

cheers

grover

Hello,
I use the Voodoo 5500 to with a PIII 800.
I know the problem, i had it to.
This is not a U.S.A.F problem, it's a Driver problem.
Uninstall your Directx and your Voodoo drivers.
Make your settings to Standard VGA.
Then you must reboot.
Install your new Voodoo Driver.
Install Directx 7xx.
Than update your Directx to 8.0
This have Fix this problem on my Computer.
I hope I could help you....
Bye Mitch

Thanks mitch,

from what i understand, dx8 is not able to be uninstalled. is this correct? i did install it over dx7.0a.

i will try the earlier voodoo drivers and see if that works.

thanks again

Mitch.

I just went back to previous drivers for v5 (not the 3dfx tools) and all appears to be fine. no changed to dx needed.

thanks mate
