Sorry Maytees , what you have said above is just plain stupid ,

In the Uk , the full boxed versions of games in he JANES SERIES , such as Longbow2 , F15 , Fleet Command , USAF etc ,are always still charged at full price approx £35 .

The only time the game is budget price , is if the game is repacked in a budget box , budget manual etc , and then is priced approx £13 .

Buget pricing is do do with publishers / developers tying to recoup costs etc , it has nothing to do with an individuals perception of how good game X is .

Please try to think and post more intelligently , wind your neck in abit .

Perhaps if you posted more intelligently re USAF , then people would respect you more , an take your points of view more seriously .

I am prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt , as i believe you are a true USAF enthusiast at heart , but if you talk bollox , i will tell you so !

Roger , over & out

:-)

uhmmmm, Jane's USAF released about three months ago or so, Falcon4 released December 1998 if memory serves - maybe that has something to do with it being discounted?
Flanker2 and Mig Alley have also been out a year or more.

Wait long enough and USAF will be a tenner too. Then you can fly through the oh so ****ing amazing Grand Canyon and crash headon into the Hoover Dam all you like.

Original Box, full manuals etc. Falcon 4 £19.99, GAME UK Ltd. Mig Alley £19.99, GAME UK Ltd. USAF £19.99 HMV. I suspect discounting related to number of sales racked up, less sold discounted quicker. Trick is to buy at lowest price for full product, thus avoiding having to pront manual etc.

err, USAF release price £34.99/£29.99 now available at £19.99, same product, packaging etc. I think this IS a discount, still never mind Maytees1, lots more people can enjoy this product at lower cost. I mean this has got to be good for your campaign to make USAF candidate for next Pope?

"USAF, for when F2 makes your brain hurt, F4 CTD's and your slide projector packs up running JF18"

(kidding, no really!!)

Come and join the club. No fees! Just a pure hate for this fool. Why do he waste our time It can only be he's a paid baiter from ahem, dare I say it J*A*N*E*S perhaps, just trying to get another sucker to buy this rotton game. I mean sure it did have possibites, but it turned out to be a one fix game just enough for the 'good' people at Big company INC to make enough dough to do whatever they do.
But enough is enough! If this guy does not drop back into the shadows (where he belongs) Well, S*H*I*T happens.

I am a moderate and pragmatic Republican who will vote for anyone from any party who I think speaks common sense. I voted uneasily in the last election for ol' Bill Clinton, but hope to vote for Arizona Sen. John McCain for president in the year 2000.
Why? An attitude of tolerance and inclusiveness is the reason, integrity and honor back in government the goal. I dislike Pat Buchanan, Jesse Helms, and Trent Lott as much as I dislike Jesse Jackson or Teddy Kennedy; the election of any of these dubious personages to the presidency would necessitate my moving to Finland. Sen. McCain's recent denunciation of the fundamentalist Christians who comprise the right wing of the Republican Party, for example, made me conclude this was a politician after my very heart! On February 28, 2000, McCain said the following:

"Neither party should be defined by pandering to the outer reaches of American politics and the agents of intolerance whether they be Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton on the left, or Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell on the right."
That sums it up nicely

There is a shrillness and stridency to those who would wage "cultural jihad" in the name of their vision of America, and it bodes ill for a nation whose pragmatism and ability to build consensus have yielded a political stability rare in modern times. Let's take the relatively few religious wackos on the far right and the "race-class-gender" bozos on the extreme left and let them yell at each other -- ignored by the rest of the population. Disagreement among ourselves is neither a vice nor a source of weakness; however, caustic incivility and dogmatic intolerance in the public discourse are poison to a democracy. In my opinion, too many people yell at each other in the United States today. People yelling at each other solves nothing.

"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."
John Adams
