Just letting you all know I'm still alive. Had a storm last Thursday night and once again (grrrr!!!), my ISP is down. Lightning must play hell with their tin cans and string.

Over at a friends house upon whose computer I have set up EAW. Can someone please tell me, since I am suffering from mentalpause, what to type and where in the eaw.ini file, the command that will increase the number of planes in the air as well as that command that puts in the geese, even though I have yet to see them myself.

Take care y'all.

Regards!

Mike,

Glad to see your around and still kicking.

Ok for more planes, look for extrasqdns and bump up the number. Max is 5, but be aware that 3 or more may cause crashes.

The command for geese is birdseed= . Use a 0 or 1 to turn on or off.

Now as for where these go, got me!!! I just looked at the ini file on this machine and have not installed those features. But don't give up some smart a$$ will be by and correct me shortly.

Good to hear from ya.

S! Mike,

Good to hear from you.

"birdseed=whatever"

Wasn't that a hoax?

I know there's birds in the game (I've never seen any).

Birds are there. No need for adding the Birdseed=whatever thingmie. Get Control2000 add-on and you can adjust the .ini file quickly and easily! The Extra Squads too!

By the way Mike, how is you friend doing with his battle with cancer? Hope he is doing well! S!

No Hoax, Bilko

I have seen them, in fact ran into one on take off in a Spit. Needless to say it was a short unpleasent mission.

No need to add anything. In some 700 sorties I've only seen them twice while awaiting takeoff. But they're there. It might have more to do with what FM/patch you use, such as v1.2.

I saw what I thought were birds once in a Tempest career, watched them for a minute or so from the runway then took off and headed for them, as I got closer I noticed they were really big!! they turned out to be B17's on the way back from a mission unrelated to my mission. Geese in the game, I doubt it ...cool things in EAW that surprize you, absolutely
