Well, we're two years away from the HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY of manned powered flight!!! Think about it!

So, was it worth it?

And a wonderful achievement it has been! Wonder how long it took the Wright Brothers to get to the airport, though?

Well they flew in Kittyhawk, NC and Wright-Patterson is in Ohio...Now taking the airspeed velocity of their little plane there, factor in wind resistance...Damn you metric system!!!

100 years since we started looking down at birds instead of up.

And what do the birds think of this sharing of the sky? Why the proof is all around you! Just go out and wash your car!!!! You think that they do dodo on it just by accident? Hah, I say Hah. They are pissed off that we're flying better than they ever did. Dropping those "white bombs" on our cars is their way of getting even. How else are they going to do it? Ever see a goose with a M-16? Of course not!!! And you won't will you? Why? ‘Cause their feathers get caught in the receiver, that's why!!!!

But that doesn’t mean their not pissed off. No sir-ry, And they have evolved and are evolving. You watch!! Some day some expert is going to announce the discovery of mutant geese with tiny Norden bombsight where certain body parts, important to a healthy goose that wants to raise a family, once were!!!!! That'll teach us. Just who will have the last laugh then, Mr. Smarty-Pants!!!!

The solution is simple. We must restore the skies. We must………………ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

Shhhhhhhhh, he’s very tired.

Well, you see, I've been trying to decide whether flight has been a net 'good thing' or a net 'bad thing' for the human race. It's not so clearcut. Sure airpower has led to millions of people dying horrible deaths, but it has also transformed the world in so many good ways I can't even begin to itemize them. So, the 'horrible deaths' argument is out the window..especially since I think humans are very good at inventing and executing novel ways to inflict 'horrible deaths' on other humans..and if it wasn't airpower it would be something else.
