Aloha guys,

Some'tin bothering me here. While flying a carrer in 40'ies I suddenly get outrun by the enemy... This is what happens: I take off, alt-n to the combat scene, target the enemy only to see them slowly disappear in the horizon. My Hurricane simply won't do the 325 mph that for example 110's are doing.

It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does - I get REALLY MAD!!!!! Grrrrrhh!!!!!

I've tried yelling "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" at my Hurricane, but even this doesn't help...

Got eaw1.2a, eca1.4, ecapanel3.4 (set to europe/western-40). Anyone see a solution here?

over'n out,
aro

Hello ARO69,

As far as i know the Hurricanes weren't faster then the ME110'ns. So if you fly them and you see the 110'ns disappear in the distance then -although very frustrating- this is historically correct.

Oh, I see... well, stupid me then... should've read the history books a little closer, I suppose!

Thx for straightening this out for me - it's nice to know I was "struck" by the realism of the game!

Hi Aro, maybe that can help you. As in 1940 the battles are quite short ranged, perhaps you can use the accelerated time instead of ALT+N and follow the route of the inbound raiders, with ALT+M, to set a perfect inetrception and force them to fight. I'm just guessing though.

Good idea, Standing, that's actually what one should do, coming to think about it - I'll try that out!

Migth even get some use of the old navigational skills from sailing: Let's see, I'm flying vector 272 at 254 mph... enemy at 50 miles, heading 83... 306 mph... hmmm... let's see... yep, that's it: Change course 35 degress starboard, full throttle and... Voila! Me110's going in for a suprise!
