Compass ball is modeled backwards
Ground radar doesn't always lock. Especially on certain bridges
Wingmen occasionally blowup after successfully landing
Patch 2.01 reduces FPS by as much as 50%
Chaff and Flares cannot be dispensed separately
Chaff and Flares cannot be dispensed on-the-fly
Gunsight radar reticule doesn't work properly
No nightvision capability. You must fly blind at night.
AI planes collide with player plane on carrier
Players as wingmen cannot launch/land on carrier in multiplayer
Incompatible with ATI Fury Maxx videocards
No airtraffic control
Shift-key does not increase panning speed within the cockpit
Aircraft magically appear on runways and takeoff
Mirrors do not work when a target is padlocked
No keyboard template
TRK player doesn't always record properly
Cannot edit weapons loadout in campaign
All AI ground objects are static. Including carriers!!!
No HUD lines in ILS mode for Voodoo users
Sounds teeter totter each other

"No hardpoint damage"...And to think I let the return period elapse! AV8R, why didn't you warn us in your review? To think, thousands of people have been bamboozled into buying a sim that doesn't even model hardpoint damage! The things these big faceless companies get away with these days!

Jeezus, what a looser!

Not only some points in that so-called FAQ are not valid and simply not true, its pretty clear that this guy got a bug for Flanker for some reason and is out on Jihad against it. I'm starting to miss Spectre with his Falcon 4 bashing. At least he was intelligent and consistent about his gripes.

In my opinion F4 is definitely superior product then F2 from couple point of view. However it is refreshing indeed to see Russian flight sim. Almost every flavor of western aircraft have been simulated and F2 offer something new to us Flight sim enthusiasts. In addition, Flanker 2 team did pretty good job as well. Let us all be patient just as we have been patient with Falcon 4.0. I hope Flanker 2 team will appreciate our patience and award us with more quality patch files.

Discussing which sim is better is pretty useless cause you'll always find someone who disagrees. Go nitpicking and you're bound to find faults in any sim.
Better to enjoy the sims you like than bashing sims you don't like.

Awkward padlock system. User must slowly pan to object then lock - of course you have to look for the object first. what do you want, a button that will magically padlock your view to before unseen enemy?
Attitude indicator on the HUD and mini HUD is missing in guns mode - maybe realism issue. solution: don't switch to gun mode until you're ready to shoot.

I don't have flanker, but when you say the compass ball is modelled backwards, I assume you mean that the horizon stays in place and the plane moves. That's the way it is on a real Flanker.

(Of course if that's not what you mean, then I'm just wasting space and you should ignore me. Much as you should ignore any posts by PD in the first place. )
