Hoping to get Flanker 2 when it is released here in the UK at the of the week.
I’m curious to know whether time of the day or night and weather effects are modelled
in Flanker? Do you get overcast/ cloudy/ clear options or does it go further with rain/
hail/ snow effects?

Cheers

Huw

Hi Huw,

You get time of day, puffy volumetric (and wonderful :-) clouds, and fog!!! Look at some of the images on the Flanker 2 site and Stinger's excellent site.

There's no rain or snow though. (Yet! Everyting is possible if SSI can keep the development of this sim going...)

PS. Be sure to vote in the "Flanker Subscription" thread!

Yep. There is night and day, even different moon phases. Visibility can range from near zero to 80 miles. Winds at different altitudes, turbulence over mountains, clouds that move with wind. No rain, no snow.
