This is *really* starting to piss me off! I'm looking to download drivers for my V5 and the driver site is down over at 3dfx. If 3dfx has pulled the plug this quick on their customer base, then every one of those f*cking piece of sh*t suits can suck a d*ck. I hope thier holiday is sh*t...

I'm pissed!!!

There are plenty of alternative sites for drivers. Here's one:

Thanks Bill,

I may have been a little off base with my comments, but really, how hard is it to keep a server plugged in? 3dfx will not get one ounce of sympathy from me and they deserve everything they get for leaving thier customers without any support. Screw them. What they have done is unexcusable. To just flat out "dump" those of us who have stood behind them since the Voodoo1, is pathetic. Of course we know that every suit in 3dfx will pop thier golden chutes and live on to screw up another company. Sadly it will be the hard working ones and us customers who suffer while management survives. Typical...

I installed my old TNT2 Ultra this morning and downloaded the latest Detonator drivers.

Coming from me, that's a form of protest!

Give them a fair chance, Outlaw. If you are
patient and stiil they obviously screw us (I have a Voodoo 32000), take it out on Nvidia.

Unfortunately, the latest nVidia drivers caused crashes in Quake3, Flight Unlimited 3 and NASCAR Heat. So now I'm in "vid card research and testing" mode (my girlfriend is shaking her head and making faces at me each time I shout "f*ck" and reboot, come back in the kitchen and get another beer).

I guess, after all my Voodoo praising over the past few months, my old TNT2 Ultra doesn't like me any more!

It would appear that they are back up now. I was able to grab some VooDoo 3 3500 drivers late last nite and early this AM.

I was just there...

If they were up it was for a very very short time. They are down again.

Well i read today that all 3dfx cards are to be pulled from the shelves, and none! are to be sold, while they put all stock into a wharehouse. Maybe they have no intentions of doing anything with 3dfx, so they can concentrate on ATI. Which is not good news if you need dx9 drivers in the future.

A suggestion for ppl who like to buy vid cards.......GET AN NVIDIA BASED CARD. NVIDIA HAS THE BEST SUPPORT ON THEIR PRODUCTS AND THEY ARE STABLE. VOODOOS ARE FINE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY, BUT IF YOU WANT SOMETHING EASY TO INSTALL ANS IS STABLE, GET AN NVIDIA. IF YOUS USE ATI's, GOD HELP YOU. I truly hate ati's. They inhale profusely (basically they suck)!!!!
