G800 Specs?
3DCenter a German language site have posted a set of specs for the G800, whether this is pure speculation on their part I'm a little unsure as my German is non existent and Babelfish isn't of much help.G800 specs: G800
Available September 2000
Introduction August 2000
250MHz DDR RAM clock (GF2: 166)
3 pixels/clockcycle, 3 textures/pixel (G400MAX 2/1; GF2: 4/2)
Fillrate 600 MPixels, respectively 1800 MTexels (G400MAX 300/300; GF2: 800/1600)
T&L unit with 20-30 million polys/sec
DualChip setup capability
So apparently it will be available in September, I find that a little hard to believe given the fact that the delayed G450 has yet to appear. The leaked roadmap from Matrox that was circulating a while back put the G450 down for a Q1 2000 release and the G800 for a Q3 2000 release. Personally my money is on a late Q4 release for the G800, but you never know I'm probably completely wrong as usual Link:http://www.matroxusers.com/#G800%20Specs?
