In the first part of this briefing on the strategic air war in WarBirds III we talked about selecting your target, choosing ordnance, and getting into the air. Next we considered the target approach and the IP. This time around we look at the bombing run itself.

I don't mean to be tooting Aces High horn here but after reading Warbird's Strat guide, it's the same ole same ole compared to their competitors fresh look at gameplay and strategy.

I'm curious Len, what direction does iEN plan to take this outstanding MM combat simulation?

Fork> I play both and al lI know is iEN have been talking about adding strat for the past year and we've not seen any sign of it yet. Even WBII's strat is better than WBIII as it stands right now especially some of the old great maps like the European ones. AH is leaving Warbirds behind in this aspect alone nevermind the huge steps forward it's taken with new bombing system and the regular addition of new planes.

Unfortunately my squad left WBIII to move to Aces High and so far it's been the best choice for those that like a little more than just bombing airfields with laser precision. I'm still holding out hope that maybe the CD release of WBIII due out in the autumn will have some major updates to it but as it stands right now WBIII is a nice dogfighting sim with little else to it.
