While at a booksale a while back, I picked up an old paperbook edition of "Company Commander" by Charles B. MacDonald. This is a great WW2 infantry memoir that was written by a fresh new commander of an American infantry company in Germany in 1944. MacDonald is one hell of a good writer and it's fascinating to read his baptism of fire. Very gritty and realistic; no "John Wayne" heroics.Fortunately for you peeps, it's been reprinted and is available at Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1580800386/qid=1014560835/sr=8- 4/ref=sr_8_7_4/102-1691693-2000952
Highly recommended! Z

Then the double solids return, and he's back to 30. And keeps his left turn signal on the whole time? Hitler was much worse than that guy" -- overheard on plastic.com
