I had the wrong version of the No-CD fix for 1.2a on my website for a couple hours. If you put in the fix and 1.2a is still asking you for the CD, download it again (sorry! download )).

Also if you copied it to your own web site could you make sure you have or put up the correct one, the .exe should be dated 10/14 and time around 5pm.

Got it now, thanks, haven't tried the other one anyway. Thanks for this!

Where have you been the last year? Sorry, but I am always a bit suspicious when a "Giant Leap" in EAW is posted by someone who never showed up here - I don't mean that folks here are the only ones who know, no, I simply wonder.. well.. ah you know what I mean.

And even more when it's a *.exe, for replacing the game's *.exe itself... makes me even more wondering if you are not somehow ... part of the programmers' team of the original game... and as they fired them all, well...

Hmm...

Stan,
Dave has been around... I remember a while back I talked with him about the source code.

One question Dave, do I need to download 1.2 to use 1.2a?

Thanks,

Yes, you need 1.2 first.

Stanley, actually I announced my plans to modify the AI back in January or February. I think it only got one response!

What I did probably seems a lot more advanced than it actually is. I just found a few main data structures, the main AI function and traced back and messed with the constants. If I actually had the source code, I would have done a lot more over less time, I think!

Ho finally, realized thats the correct one I got.
Just to say that there are always little crashs to desktop, when starting a mission for example; but it is really random.
Can it be linked with the fact that it is a french version of the game?
Or perhaps because it is with Ecapanel?

Alain, you may put it on your site.

Actually I do not know how it works with different languages. Does the text appear in French or English?

It is possible there are some crashes with this new version. I wouldn't know how to fix them, so maybe it is just the price for having a better AI.

Okay it's online at Check Six now, thanks

Well for the texts
I got the strange impress that now the screen are bigger and characters very bigger compared to orginal french version (particulary on arming and debrief screens). Text is half part in english, half part in french (it will be written that 3 bombers have been shot down for example, but also some french words in other categories; but the main words like "target", etc...are in english)

Thanks for all
