Man!! Where were these screenshots when the boys from SDOE were around. Very impressive from a "graphically challenged" sim like EAW....

Tailspin: you bring up a good point. I for one have never quite understood the complaints about EAW graphic. I run the game at 1280 x 1024 on a 32MB TNT card, maybe that is why the game looks beautiful to me. But even at lower settings its still rather impressive. Given the age of this game and the fact that it was only about half done (considering all of the updates), this is still a very impressive program. I bet it will hold up well against all the fancy new sims that keep threatening to be released.

I have all four of the WW II sims-----EAW.
SDOE,Janes, and CFS. Having been an Art
Major in college----just the training for
an Artillery Lt. in the army---I look at
all games, with (IMHO) artist's eye. With
the exception of flying at low altitudes,
which most of these games don't stand up to
anyway, EAW looks like one of those wonderful
Aviation Paintings. (Read this comparison in a review once, and it was what intially hooked me. The other aspects of the game
kept me playing.

Buy some good quality computer photo paper and print some of your screen shots. You will be amazed. I have printed a bunch, bought cheap tasteful frames, and have them in my cave, and all over my grandson's room.

He and his parents think they are great, and
so do I.

They do print out rather well. My 5 year old loves them!

Here's a few more:

Great shots, Redeye! I forgot to mention
that I usually use the Windows paint to
do some minor editing. If you inlarge to
400% you can round off the sharp angles,
make B-17 and B-24 engines look round, add
antenna wires to fighters, add engine fires, etc. I'm working on a Stuka airfield attack shot adding ground detail.

Destroyed building interiors, fires, eplosions, vehicles, planes, etc. It is
tedious work, but I will post when I feel it
looks good enough.

I like to print EAW screenshots, too. I have a few in my office at work, and several people have complimented me on my "photos". I've gotta save and print some of these masterpieces from RedEyes. I always seem to miss these "Kodak® moments" in my own missions!
