It's Wing's of Eagels Air Show time here in Elmira N.Y. this weekend and I love it. Friday is the day the aircraft begin to arrive and many of them fly right over my home. "FiFi" the only B-29 Superfort, Corsairs, Multiple P-51's including "Crazy Horse" the only "Dual Control" P-51, B-25's, Texans, Avengers, C-47's, B-24's, B-17's and more!

Having the National Warplane Museum in my home town is great! And having their pride and joy, the B-17 "Fuddy Duddy" flying over head 2 or 3 times a week, all summer long is great too, but this weekend is the top's! wish you all were here! .............AH

Being a closet glider guy, what I'd like to do sometime is visit Harris Hill there sometime. Have fun with the show!

Cool pic. Though it brings up unpleasant memories of B-17II having multiplay cancelled.

Air,

You are one lucky SOB. To have this show on your doorstep!

You are also one horrible fella. To rub it in to us poor schmucks who wont see it.

Your punishment for this terrible insult is to post more pictures - now that you have mastered the art.

I'll be watching!! Keenly!

When's the next one?

Thanks Pips!!! LOL! I'll try some more pic's.

Vic, Rumor has it that the museum is moving the show to June next year. It's about the biggest show this side of the Mississippi!

TG, Get on interstate 80 going west past Stroudsburg and the Delawware, about 20 min down the road, look for Int. 391 (I think) to Scranton, it turns into or you must take Int. 81 north from there (Scranton). to Binghamton, N.Y. From there Rt. 17 (Future Int 86) west for 1 hour to Elmira, N.Y. The Elmira/Corning regional airport is on the west side of town. Just look for Airplanes!

Air....thank you, thank you, thank you!!

You have just made my day.

A picture of my all time favourite plane - the B29! It is the most beautiful of all - those lines, so sleek, so powerful, such style. And thats from a confirmed fighter jock. Ahhhh, now I just have to figure out a way to climb into one. I could then die a very happy chappy.
