I'm not able to log on, once again...

Anyway, I did some more work on the P-61 skin, how's it going on the 3D front?? Hopefully it's much easier with the editor. If work is going well, could you please send me the latest .3dz ? It'd be much better than the default B-25, for skinning/mapping purposes

As for Yellow 78, work is on hold right now, I need more hours in a day

Is the email address I have working? It isn't clear from your post. Let me know. Here's the latest:

I've got the turret on, and just added a belly bulge for the 20mm gun pack. I have to add another level on the top above the cockpit, and transparency elements for the turret guns. The work isn't as frustrating as it was, now that I've learned all the 3D editing alchemist's secrets from Capitan Manduca. Anyway, let me know where to send the 3DZs, and they're on their way -

Ah, OK- it seems to work now Yup, still marcjaxa@hotmail.com.

Nice work! Coming along nicely. One thing I notice, though, is the nose- AFAIK it was a bit more flatter:

Though that may be what you intend for the other level on top of the cockpit.

Yea, maybe a little longer too. You're right, I planned to drop the level of the existing cockpit when I modify the top level, which will staighten out the nose. BTW, since all the work I'm doing now involves adding nodes, Alessandro's editor isn't any help . I have to write every thing out first (node locations, elements, normals, etc.) then do the hex editing. You should have the email by now. Oh, one other thing - are we the only ones interested in this plane?

I, too, am seduced by the "Black Widow"--and I can't wait to try it!

S! to Geo and Ajax!

Nice job Did you know that most P-61's had the turret removed or not installed because the B-29's needed them among other reasons.

The main reason I think was air turbulence, or "buffeting". It was corrected on the B model of the P61.

Also they had problems with vibrations when the turret was firing sideways.
