It always starts the same. A new sim is on the horizon and everyone anticipates it each with his own set of "wants." Minutes ago, in geologic time anyway, everyone was bitching about EAW and how MP should release code and all the things they want. "At least MS has basic open code, they're cool." Now MS are the black hats. CSF2 doesn't have this or that and bla, bla, bla. We're all big boys and KNOW no sim is perfect and "end all." Most of us have pined for a sim that has a very complete basis for add-on modules by either the company that made them or modders. No one has done that lately except MS. Geez, CFS2 is hackable and EASY to modify! You don't even have to hex edit to change things. I go on record saying in my review that I didn't like the FMs. They are easily modify-able. Whatever CFS2 will be is determined by modders as I wrote. They will be many mods done faster than "corporate lackeys"- ha, ha, ha! can make them. And you can thank Tucker Hatfield for Acees Of The Pacific and Aces over Europe. Back then I was modding along with many others and there were TONS of add-ons. They worked cause the basic sim was very complete. If it weren't for Hatfield most of us snot nosed kids wouldn't have any combat sim experience at all considering all the other "clunkers" that came out. People whine about a $50 price of a sim but think nothing of dropping a grand and a half to buy a new computer. For my part- Thanks Tucker!

i paid $80.00 for this flight sim, but i don't give a damn about the money, and not because i have lots, i don't, but i am a passionate flight simmeri have a love/hate relationship with this flight sim. i have tried to be supportive of the sim itself, but have been somewhat scathing towards microsoft, and their apparent total lack of support. i had never bought a microsoft game before, and thought they would be very supportive. i now feel this is totally inaccurate. i am also thankful that this sim is easily modified. i have experienced a lot of disappointment, because the way the game is set up. there are unfilled options for flying for the german and british(?)and flying air-to-ground quick missions. i see this and think 'cool, there are going to be add-ons', only to find out(thru hear-say) that the next venture will be cfs3, no more from microsoft for this game! i do enjoy this game! and i'm not a toffee-nosed kid. bisher
