I just loaded this game up on a new computer with a 1 gig Athlon Thunderbird with 256 meg RAM and 40 gig hard drive. It is really fun and beautiful, but it crashed 3 times to my desktop!!

My understanding is that there is a patch for AMD processors.I'm not sure if this is the right URL but give it a look. http://www.amd.com/support/software.html

S!

That AMD patch is NOT for the new Via KT133-chipsets.I had similar problems with CFS2 and all this was caused by old drivers.I just updated every imaginable driver on my system and the CFS2 seems(for now at least) to run without crashes.CFS2 is extremely picky about sound drivers IMO...

There's also a reference on one of the websites regarding problems if the processor is over 700 Mhz and has over 128 mb on memory. It think it was slow or crashing. Looked like it was a copy of Q article from MS site.

Didn't apply to me, so I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Good Luck.
