Somebody? Anybody? I looked all over the manual and roamed around inside the options interface for a few minutes.

Major tom, I took the game back but if memory serves you goto where the keyboard mapped keys are then there is a custom icon bottom left, go in there and I just went thru the icons on the bottom right and found the key I wanted to map and dragged it over to the joystick buttons. Hope I am right but thats how I did it.

Click on OPTIONS (animated attitude indicator in the center or at the bottom right corner of the UI)

Click on CONTROLS

Look for an icon of a keyboard towards the bottom left.

Click that icon

You will see a new profile before you, press any key, say Q, ant it will scroll up to what is mapped to that key (in this case REFUELING_PROBE)In YOUR case click on the joystick button you wish to remap and it should scroll to what is mapped there.

Use the available keystrokes on the right window and simply drag and drop to the keystroke you wish.

Actually the whole process uses drag and drop (so you cn 'un-map' buttons too).

When you are done, click SAVE (floppy disc icon) this will prompt for a name of your profile bla bla bla the rest is easy.

For a full list of the available commands and details about them go to the MAINTENANCE page of my website.

Cheer's, Ham.
