Anybody out there that knows how to properly adjust the sound sliders at the setup? I would like to know what the most realistic settings are.

Well Weasal, that's hard to say, as the sound environment is unrealistic from the git-go, e.g. you can't hear explosions, etc from within a real cockpit while in flight. So, just set whatever you like.

I know they´re fault from the beginning, but I want to get as close to reality as possible, the sfx is all down, but how loud should the engine be versus the comms...

Hey Weasel I have created a realistic sound Set for Falcon.
Is simulates the "Hiss" of the slipstream and AC blowing in the cockpit along with the faint engine whine of the Pratt/GE

Also the iSET contains internal missile shoots sounds "Muffled" and a "Vibrating Vulcan Cannon sound.
Plus many others sounds that simulated a pilot being in a sound isolated cockpit which is the F-16's.

As for the slider settings if you use my sound set

Engine sounds 15% (just so you can hear a faint whine)
External sounds 10% or less
I forget the other sliders settings but all outside sounds should be very very low to off

Comms Jacked up

With good sliders settings and my sound set iSET2 you will have a very realistic sounding cockpit

It can be found over at Frugal Worlds site. http://www.lostsoul.org/%7Embush/f4/iset2.zip

Also I have posted the first "Green Glass" HUD Cockpit edit on his site.. check it out at http://www.lostsoul.org/%7Embush/f4/bones107.zip

Hey Bones,

I've listened to your soundset and I have to ask...is it really that quiet in an F16 cockpit? Just curious....

By the way I like the "wind" sound alot

Thanks RP....

Yeah from the sim and pilot interviews they say it's very quiet in the jet.

You can hear missles shoots but they are faint.

you can't hear bombs, you just feel them when they hit mainly MK84's

An employee of mine took a ride in an F-16D this summer and conffrimed it was very quiet. Couldn't even hear when they were in burner! The did some ACM and did a zoom climb from the deckj tgo 30000 feet.
