Mike are you using Windows 95? IF so, all you have to do to get RW back is ALT-TAB to desktop after you start Falcon then ALT-TAB back to Falcon. Your RW will be working then. It's one of the differences between WIN95 and WIN98. In WIN98 you don't have to do this. at least it was in my case and the other guys i help out by doing this.Let me know if it works. SWOdaddy:I used SB16 with RW with no problems. It is full duplex. Need to be sure you have latest drivers from Creative Labs, tho. Be careful out there. Habu out.

Gentlemen,Concerning RW...I use Battlecom. (So does the entire squadron) BC doesn't require a gamelink and, you can host BC and F4....however, it's not free...what it is though is VERY clear ..I have tried ALL! the clarity in RW doesn't compare to BC...NO i'm not a salesman for BC...I just Know from the countless hours my Lt. Cmd.'s did on this subject getting it working in F15 (when people said it wouldn't)...Anyway...14.95 and great Comms. it's well worth it.

I have to agree with Norad... R/W was nothing but a headache for Jane's F-15, and even for Falcon 4.0. Out of countless efforts to make the comms clearer, and a little easier to manage, it still fell well short of the expectations we were looking for. Let me reiterate here... R/W is ok, but you will NOT get the same quality in comms unless you use BattleCom (it doesn't require a gamelink, but you can make one... and that's not hard to do), yes you pay for it, but wouldn't you want to buy something that you know works, or will work with most programs that you buy?

I agree on the subject of BattleComm. BattleCom has many more usable features than RW. Features that are realistic ti real communications in air combat. The ability to open more than one channel and whisper modes allow you to talk to your whole flight/everyone thats on your team, or just to a spacific player, all with assigned keys. This allows a person to talk a wingman without causeing too much traffic on the comms for the rest of the flight also. Passwords can also be used so only those in your game can log on to your host. Whats really great is that I have 2 comms commands programed into my ThrustMaster Throttle buttons 1 for my wingman or lead, and one for my whole flight. By the way, BattleComm worked exellent with F15, But it works even better with no lag or disruptions in F4, and you dont even have to enter a gamelink for it its just download and play. I think it due to the fact that F15 Normally Mutes External Programs and F4 Dosent, so BC works with F4 with less work from your computer. In my Squadron we have had a maximum of 8 players on the BattleComm with no problems in F15, so I would expect it to work even better in F4. It well worth the money given the amout of flight time put in. And theres no sweeter sound than to hear your wingman clearly on your comms for the whole time your online. End the end BattleComm simply has the features that are needed for the complex games and Especially Flight Sims of today, besides MICROSOFT purchased ShadowFactor the developer of BattleComm, nor RW, so that says a lot right there, So my bet is, that BC will have more funding as a result and get better as development grows in the future. The Falcon 4 Sim is Very real, So if you want real Comms? Go Get BATTLECOMM."Stormin"

When "trying" out BC...when you and the other person are online...you have to go thru a series of adjustments...Mic...volume ect...make sure your on the same compression rate e.g. Delta ,charlie.....then are all your drivers current?...(soundcards) then and most important...the connection between you and your friend..must be a good one to be able to actually compare...i know this sounds like alot but if you were in my squadron i could help you out...by sending config. but that is classified to us...however..i will ask and assisit. online all i can...
