I can't seem to figure out to install the new skins available. I have skinmaster, when I press install new skin it just locks up, and no new skin.
Even when I install the skins with the program that sometimes follows, I get an error message in dos prompt I havn't got enough time to read before it disappears.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong??

Are you installing the 512x512 skins? If so, instead use the 256x256 as your graphics mightn't support the higher res. All the best

Right-click on the file called "ww2.sqs" in your Jane's CS/WWI Fighters/Data folder and click "properties".Make sure the box marked "read only" is unchecked. Also make sure the skin you are installing uses 256x256 textures, unless you're sure your Video card will support the higher 512x512 textures.I think you need either a VooDoo 5 or a GEForce card to use these. If all else fails, you might want to try unistall/reinstalling the game, after which you should again uncheck the read only in the ww2.sqs file.

Ok after a reinstall and unchecking the ww2.sqs file, and then actually placing the skin files in the skin directory in skinmaster everything is just fine.
Thanks for the help.
