I was flying Yemen this evening and had a spontaneous engine fire (I love to rev those engines ) Anyways...the engines quit and I didn't fall. I was still able to fly for about 5 minutes befor it slloooowwwly crashed. Has this happened to anyone else? Normally, the descent is fairly rapid. This didn't happen before I installed the new "naval" mod. Anyone?

it only seemed like that long. people often say they time slows down in life and death situations.
Actually, if you start on a carrier and then "goto" a lowland area you will get this same slow falling effect. I am sure it fell into the same "glitch."

Did ya overtorque your engines (>100%)? I know overtorqueing will kill your engines.

Isn't the overtorque effect overdone a bit? You have to be able to go above 100% and still be able to fly for a while until engine overheat and even then you just tone it down and continue flying. Here it comes out of nowhere.

I agree it is presently unreal. In real rotary wing wing flight engine overtorque, rotor overspeed are not uncommon. They require a special inspection of the rotor, drive and engine systems. In most cases depending on the damage the aircraft can be released for flight within a few hours. I would think that anything above 130% would more realistic of total system failure.
