Well I thought I had my EECH lockups all fixed after 3 months of stuffing around trying different solutions. I found that when I installed Powerstrip and reduced the AGP transfer rate to 1X and enabled fast writes I was able to fly for a full day without any lockups and get good frame rates at 1024*768. But..and it's a big one..the next day when I came back for more EECH (as you would) I went to start Powerstrip in preparation for starting EECH and my monitor went to gray wavy lines with the message Invalid scan freq. Obviously the video card is trying to send an unsupported refresh rate to the monitor I think. So I hit the reset and when the system came back up checked the powerstrip inifile and read the Powerstrip documentation file for answers but so far after about a week I haven't found a solution other than to uninstall and reinstall Powerstrip each and every time I want to do EECH. So I ask:

Are there any Powerstrip guru's out there who can help?

Are there any other utilities that allow you to set AGP rate & fast writes?

Can anyone tell me why EECH needs me to do all this stuff when all the other games I bought in the last six months (except for IG2 which has similiar but less frequent problems) run perfectly? Is there any rumours of patches in the works that might help?

I hope someone can help, its like being shown the promised land but being told you'll have to defeat the security systems every time to want to visit and no don't even think about trying to stay........

Cheers,
Stonehouse
