Anyone out there tried LAN connection with EECH via IP or IPX? I have tried both and can't seem to be able to comunicate with the other computer. I am able to ping both computers but when I get to campaign or skirmish how do I know if someone has joined in or not?

Content deleted due to Csim's closure of the EECH forum.

Thanks Blaze but I mean besides that, how do you engage in battle with another friend in multiplayer? Do you share the same campaign/Skirmish/Freeflight map? There is no special place to meet for multiplayer, no chat...am I missing something here?

Well ther is chat in the game already, as for the preflight/connect communications - they are all done via ICQ contacts and BattleCom voice comms in the moment.

Blaze, thank you for the explanation. I got it to work. I now am trying to have myself and a friend be in the same helo wing for a mission but it is not letting me select a helo from his group. Is this correct? One scenario was a group of 2 Comanche and 2 Apache on a strike mission for the Yemen Skirmish1. My friend selected a Comanche and I tried to select one Apache from the same group but it did not let me do it, I click on accept gunship but it doesnt engage.

You do have AH installed, right? Else of course you won't be able to get into the Apaches .

If trying to be in the same flight, I think the flight is locked out until the other fella confirms which chopper they want (and enters the cockpit).
Also it can take a while to join if there's a wee bit of lag.

Thanks guys...I will try today all of what you have said here. I have AH install but he doesn't, but I tried the Comanche also and it did the same thing. Will try what Flexman said.......Like the old Kung Fu master once said: patience...patience young grasshoper.
