Guten Tag Freunde,

anyone out there who wants to buy an FW190a in full scale and flyable as well?

If the answer is YES, then check out http://www.flugwerk.de. These "verrückte deutsche Ingenieure" really have built a replica of the FW190a and are planning construction of flyable versions as well. One of their future projects is the BF109.

And, one more thing: this is not a joke! ;-)

hmmm, have to find a way to earn $500.000 as soon as possible. I'd like to visit my grandpa in this cool vehicle, hehe.....

Afraid I'll have to settle for 1/32 instead of 1/1...

No, but if anybody produces a Mk XIV Spitfire or an A6M5 Zero and I win the lotto I'd be interested.

Seriously, the problem with these replicas is that they are all underpowered. The engines usally produce about 600 HP AFAIK.

I bet an R-1820 would fit (same engine as B-17, smaller than the beast in the P-47 and F4U) Decent horsepower, though not as much as the BMW 801.

Why buy a replica when you could see the real thing (once they are done). One of the museums in the U.S. has received some Fw190a's recently. They are restoring these to flying condition although a few will go to German and American museums. I can't wait to hear that radial rev up!
What a rush!
