Hi hunters,

I hope you have no problems with an off topic in this message board.

The reason for this mail is that I have some problems with RedBaron3D. Some of you are certainly playing RedBaron also I think.

I try it:

I am running RedBaron3D on a PII, 400, 128 MB RAM, Voodoo3. Today I installed the flight model patch called "Final EM for BSP2 (FEMBSP2)". This patch is really cool - improved the flight model much I think.

But since having installed this patch, as soon as make a shot with my gun, the sound is away. When I am flying a mission without using the gun trigger, I have sound for the whole mission. When I use it just a few seconds after the mission started, I have no sound at all. To get sound back, I have to restart the game. But then I have again just sound until I make my nex shot.

I have not installed any other patch or add-on for the game.

Would be pity to have to deinstall this patch.

Is there any fix for this problem?

Many thanks for any help.

Michael the "WildeSau"

I had the exact same problem when I first installed RB3D. I e-mailed Sierra and sent them my system specs, and they determined it was a problem with my sound card. My sound card at the time was an ESS Solo-1. I found updated drivers for it and that fixed the problem. Later I replaced that sorry card with a Soundblaster PCI 512, and my sound vastly improved. I can't say for sure that sound card drivers are your problem, but it sure sounds like it to me.
