Can I improve the sound of red baron 3d. Can I download sound files anywhere? (Especially the gunsound of the old rb was nicer)

I don't have the website handy but if you type Red Baron Webring into Yahoo it will give you a lot of sites that have all kinds of enhancements. I got a sound file from a site called 'The Promised Land' some time ago. I don't know if they are still up but they had some great sound and graphics additions. Good Luck.

Closterman: That's a great site. I haven't really played RB 3D for awhile, but the patches at that site really look good. Apparently the patches help tone down the "cartoony" look the game has out of the box.

Yes. Originally, RB2 was 2D, and when they converted it to 3D they didn't repaint the skins to conform to the shapes very well. The patches now at my site update RB3D to today's standards (although you need a Glide card to get the best out of it).

Coming soon to RB3D (hopefully): bracing wires for all planes, more aircraft, and further graphics enhancements.
