I downloaded CL's 5.22 equivalent's drivers last night, installed it and set FSAA to sample-2 only. Then ran the game. The sky's texture changed to th following:

Anyone has the same card comes across with the same problem ?

Variable,

Are you using skypat's Texfix, it might not be compatible with the GF2 GTS. Also try 5.3 detonator. Despite it's not the latest official drivers. If all fail, you may disable the FSAA option.

Good luck.

The only way I could get rid of that, was to update my drivers to 5.30. I also set the slider two the 4x FSAA equivalent(moved over twice).

BTW, FSAA makes everything gorgeous.

Interesting discussion. At 1024x768x32 with FSAA at 2x and using v5.22 I have a beautiful sky (and everything else), however when I go to the v5.30 (beta) drivers I get a faint "checkerboarding" of the background. Strange how we all have different experiences, and remedies!

I have loaded nVidia's 5.30 and enabled FSAA x 2(i.e. move the slider twice to the right). I have installed DirectX 7.0a, re-installed the game without the patch and Skypat's Texfix so everything in the game is original. I ran the Instant Action and here is what I have captured:

Have you noticed that the sky as seen through the HUD is slightly purple. Is this color normal under these conditions ?

BTW, my card is Creative's GeForce2 GTS.

Appreciate your help.

Variable.

I don't have the GTS anymore so follow the other's advice. Try different drivers and tweaks.
