Hello and greeting from the world of the klutz. I need some advice. As I cannot, not no way afford a stand alone DVD player, how does DVD work out on the PC. Does the picture quality work well? I have seen DVD players going for about £55 ($80ish).

Am I missing something or is this a bargain?

Thank you

Chocks away, back soon old chap and hey, stay away from Mrs Bilko or I'll give you a damn good thrashing with my STICK

Zwolnic bloki, wracam niedlugo stary pryku i hej, zostaw Pania Bilko w spokoju albo dam ci dobry wycisk moim KIJKIEM.

¡Calzos fuera!

Well, I have it on my laptop, and there it is just barely adequate. But that's with a tiny (13" diagonal, 800x600) screen, an older (K6-2 380) processor, and itty bitty video card (ATI Rage Pro LT). But, since I don't have a TV in my truck, this at least allows me to watch movies once in awhile.

I was really enthralled with it when I first got it, but now...well, as I said, barely adequate.

With a full size PC, it may be a different story entirely.

Have one on my current PC. Seldom use it. Picture quality is pretty good, but sometimes movements are jerky. Since I have a stand-alone player, I have little need of a PC one. I'm not gonna bother with one on the next PC. Still, you can put on a Disney disc to amuse the kiddies while you watch something else.
