I just ran a H2H against AI MiG 29. After a couple of minutes of turning, burning and mainly sweating a lot I actually downed the MiG. I record these missions so I can see what I get up to and what I do wrong. Seeing I got this one right I played back the TRK file. To my sheer amazement I see the MiG floating around happily watching me crash into the ground (WTF !!!) This most definately did not happen. Carl, if you are reading this please explain what is happening here. Is the AI a bad loser or is the recording utility plooked? This problem seems to have appeared since the patch was installed.

A possibility...

Once a track file is loaded, you can either start it like any other mission, or you can play it back. I think there is a "fly mission" and a "play track" menu choice. Maybe you are choosing "fly" (or start(?)) when you mean to choose "play"? This would explain why your flanker crashes. The program thinks you are at the controls.

No, afraid not. This is a regular playback.
I could understand if the AI behaved in a slightly different fashion, but this is ridiculous. Sort of re-writing history.

TRK playback/recording is screwed up, big time. It either records, or plays it back wrong about 70% of the time.

Just pray they'll fix this in the next patch.

I have been trying to find where the TRK files go wrong. It seems that gun-only kills are recorded correctly and missile kills are totally fubar. Anyone else find that this is how its working for them ?
