Excellent idea...there must be a way...stop you from messing up the flight-suit; but i heard once of turd dropped from high alt freezing and taking out someones car window!

So what's the safety protocol for that??!

Zed,

I think the call "Fox 2" was originally meant for just this situation. That's how Chuck Yeager told his mom, as an toddler, what he needed to do.

Just to preface this topic...its a play on the situation that developed in my "Aircraft Debate" topic that quickly turned into the merits of taking a whiz during translants and transpacs..

In other words, this topic is a joke =)

Sorry bout that envelope....eheheh

the ACES II is the Aircrew (or combat, i'm not sure) Ejection System (second model) its basically the ejection seat in the F-15C,E...F-16...a whole bunch of planes use'em.

The way I figure it, put a piddle pack in the seat. This has other benefits, if you have to eject, the "scent" of human urine would be located in a different place than the pilot, giving valuable time to eject.

I'm completely BSing this, but its fun.

Don't sailplane pilots have an edge on this technology? Some of those cross country flights are all day events.

What about G-forces on those piddle packs? I suppose they have to be tested for stuff like that.

Hahahaha...

9Gs and those plastic bags burst open, dousing the pilot with his own "recycled liquid".

You know on low level or even high level rides in a plane as small as an F16, you get really bad turbulence and the hose will start to whip around alot.

If you're unlucky the hose will come off, taking your "delicate instrumentation" away with it.

I have just found this site tonight and love it as soon as finish this note I will apply for membership. This whole conversion on ACES II Ejections seats has made me right at home. Reminds me of winding down after a sixteen hour shift in the Desert. I am and always will be a fan of Jet fighters real and simulated. I am aircraft logistics/maintainer in the Air Force. I have worn the flight suit and flown in jet fighters on several occasions. Wish, I had thought of the tube out the canopy back then. I guess, there is some advantage to flying Cargo aircraft. There are alot of things you can do in the portable outhouses onboard.

Heres one idea,

Make the ACES 2 an ejectable toilet bowl with vacuum suction and backside protection.
