Apparently, she is not convinced that her husband Rudolph Hess's death was a suicide.

Well, no, that's not exactly it. Apparently this is a Captain Gordon Hess, according to the CBS site for "60 Minutes" at www.cbs.com . Odd coincidence though isn't it? Was (Is?) Rudolph Hess's wife named Dorene?

Ilse was the wife of Rudolf Hess and they had one son named Wolf.

Thanks, I'm so embarrased. I just saw the show and it was strange enough without it being Rudolf Hess. The army claims that this guy who was stabbed 27 times commited suicide. You'd think they'd be embarrased.

Sounds extremely fishy to me. You would have to be very keen to stab yourself 27 times! It's a bit like saying he accidently tripped and stabbed himself 27 times with the bread knife.

Sure. If you saw it, you would have seen these officers talking about it being a suicide without fliching, wincing or breaking a sweat. This under the hot lights and gaze of the reporters of 60 minutes. It was a little scary.

Of those stab wounds 4 were through the heart (right through the left ventricle) and two penetrated a lung. While it is possible for someone to kill themselves with 27 stab wounds, with one or even two through the heart, it is physically imposible for this to occur. On top of this, the wounds also indicated that Hess resisted (they bore evidence of twisting).

Those Officers should consider a career in politics...

Was there any reason why the Army was trying to cover up a murder?
