Here is a comment from another guru over at the 3dgpu forum:"My understanding of how the GeForce / TNT pipelines, is that when you play in 32 bit color, you are forced to 32 bit z as well. At 16 bit color, you are forced to 16 bit z. So if that guru was correct, then you shouldn't have the same problems if you run in 16 bit color. If you have the same problem in 16 bit color, then it still may be a z-buffering issue with Geforce, but probably not the 32 bit thing. The 32bit / 16 bit z-buffer thing is not, as far as I'm aware, something that nVidia can fix with drivers. If they could, I'm sure they would have because they could get higher 32 bit color benchmarks by saving z-buffer bandwidth." It is interesting (and unfortunate) that there are problems running some games with these new cards. The question I have is if there is a problem (like running USAF) who issues a fix, the game developer or Nvidia?
