There are at least three of us confirmed that with our GeForce DDR (3.68 or 3.72 drivers) the RWR does not load in the MFDs on USAF. I posted this problem everywhere and got one comment from a guru over at www.reactorcritical.com:
"Bandcamp: I suspect that's a z-buffering issue... apparently (if I read the FAQ right) the GeForce drivers don't currently support 16-bit z-buffers, and as such can sometimes be *too* accurate, down to trying to but the overlay on such a perfect line with the monitor that it disappears "behind" the viewer. Apache Havoc seems to have similar problems at times. Again, it's a case of hoping nVidia fix the drivers soon " Any comments on his reply?

I have a Creative Ann. Pro, and tried the USAF demo, and had no problems whatsoever with the demo. Maybe it s driver specific to your cards... But again the USAF demo ran great looked great... runs a tad slower than it should, but this is a problem inherent in the game itself... not a Geforce problem. I use Creatives drivers... not the Nvidia ref drivers.

One point worth making - I believe that version 3.68 is the current officially released driver set from nVidia - 3.72 is a leaked beta, and any problems ppl are having with them will probably be ignored by them.

However, if the problems exist with 3.68, then nVidia should take notice.

Here is a comment from another guru over at the 3dgpu forum:

"My understanding of how the GeForce / TNT pipelines, is that when you play in 32 bit color, you are forced to 32 bit z as well. At 16 bit color, you are forced to 16 bit z.
So if that guru was correct, then you shouldn't have the same problems if you run in 16 bit color.

If you have the same problem in 16 bit color, then it still may be a z-buffering issue with Geforce, but probably not the 32 bit thing.

The 32bit / 16 bit z-buffer thing is not, as far as I'm aware, something that nVidia can fix with drivers. If they could, I'm sure they would have because they could get higher 32 bit color benchmarks by saving z-buffer bandwidth."

It is interesting (and unfortunate) that there are problems running some games with these new cards. The question I have is if there is a problem (like running USAF) who issues a fix, the game developer or Nvidia?
