No, the great Lucasfilms combat sim of yesteryear is not back, though we wish it were. Beyond the well-known German secret weapons like the V-1 and V-2 are a host of lesser-known innovations that deserve a look. How about a rocket that could hit New York or the U-2's grandfather that could reach 83,000 feet? Jim "Twitch" Tittle takes you on a fascinating look at some amazing weapons of WWII.

Very well written Mr. Tittle.

It makes me yearn for that good ol' sim SWOTL! Not so much that I would install that
old CGA wonder, but the newly discovered, for me, FS:SDOE. There are alot of these
neat Luftwaffe machines being created, as I discovered when I bought it 3 weeks ago.

Maybe some enterprising Sim creator will get a hint from your article and modernize this
good old theme. Thanks for the memories!

I WISH SWOTL would come back in some incarnation. I've been hinting about its cool features in articles for years but no one has seen fit to look at the concept again. Stormbird, which has been in development for years seems to come close but......?
