My.com is happy to present the main battle tank – T-80. Constructed in the Soviet Union, this tank earned the reputation as an outstanding combat vehicle and was praised by many experts and tank commanders. Watch the video to find out more about this military machine.

In Armored Warfare the T-80 is a Tier 7 vehicle. The main characteristics of this main battle tank are high alpha damage and high mobility. The T-80 shows its very efficiency in close-quarters combat. The top gun can consistently deal a large amount of damage per shot due to the high penetration, but the lower accuracy, long aim time, and penetration falloff of the ammunition make the T-80 far less effective against targets at longer ranges.

The T-80 has powerful frontal armour on the hull and turret, but weak rear and side armour combined with lower HP value makes this vehicle highly vulnerable to flanking attacks. Therefore, the best tactic when meeting this tank will be going around the flank or to the rear. Those who use T-80 should constantly be covering the rear or use the landscape to protect yourself from vulnerable flanking.

Players will be able to upgrade and modify T-80 in various ways: step-by-step upgrade of guns and ammunition to more powerful ones, installation of additional electronic equipment and external defence systems, as well as more powerful engines. The T-80 can be modified up to the level of T-80U model.

My.com will share more information on tank modifications very soon, so be sure to follow on your favourite social channel and sign up for the beta for your chance to pilot the T-80 main battle tank.

Fly two brand new heavy-lift helicopters, supported by new content and features

Bohemia Interactive today announced the official release date for Arma 3’s second premium DLC, Arma 3 Helicopters. Lifting off on November 4th, the new DLC will introduce the highly detailed CH-67 Huron and Mi-290 Taru heavy-lift helicopters, and will be supported by a variety of free new content and features in an accompanying Arma 3 platform update.

The CH-67 Huron is a twin-engine, tandem rotor heavy-lift helicopter. It is a modernized version of the CH-47 Chinook and its primary role is the transportation of troops, vehicles and cargo. The Huron exists in two variants: the armed variant with two side gunners manning 6.5 mm gatling guns, and the transport version which replaces the gunners with two additional passenger positions.

The Mi-290 Taru is a heavy utility helicopter with coaxial rotors and a unique modular construction. Various mission pods allow the Taru to serve many different roles. It can transport cargo, troops, and provide battlefield supplies (ammunition, fuel, repair facilities, and medical equipment). The helicopter can also transport light vehicles thanks to its sling loading capabilities. The latter, sling loading, is a brand new feature in Arma 3, and will be demonstrated in the official Sling Loading showcase scenario, which is included in the Helicopters DLC package.

Overall, the addition of the two new helicopters and their skin variants will place a stronger emphasis on the role of logistics in Arma 3’s open-world combat. This idea is complemented by the upcoming Arma 3 platform update, which delivers a variety of free new playable content, alongside multiple game-changing features.

In terms of content, the Arma 3 platform update will ship the brand new Support multiplayer mode, where players will need to provide various types of helicopter support – such as troop transport and medevac – in Sector Control multiplayer scenarios. In addition, the update will include a set of ten VR Training helicopter stages, and five helicopter Time Trials, of which four will be exclusive to Helicopters DLC owners. A variety of new in-game objects, ranging from landing platforms to military decorations and more, will also be made available to Arma 3 content creators. Plus, Bohemia Interactive will add a related set of new Steam Achievements to the game.

With regards to the new features, the Arma 3 platform update comes with the optional RotorLib helicopter flight model, which is an upgraded version of the flight model used in Bohemia Interactive’s Take On Helicopters. Furthermore, the platform update will include the aforementioned new ability to sling load cargo, and last but certainly not least: the much-anticipated firing-from-vehicles feature. This functionality enables vehicle passengers to fire their weapon while seated.

The Arma 3 Helicopters DLC will be available on November 4th for 12.99 EUR/10.99 GBP/15.99 USD on Steam and Store.bistudio.com. People can already purchase the Arma 3 DLC Bundle, which includes the Arma 3 Karts, Arma 3 Helicopters, and the upcoming Arma 3 Marksmen DLC, for 19.99 EUR/16.99 GBP/24.99 USD on Steam and Store.bistudio.com. As a result of Bohemia Interactive’s new approach to DLC in Arma 3, which the studio announced in May, players will be able to try out all new DLC content before buying.

frontline-the-longest-day-box“Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely.” (Dwight D. Eisenhower – Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe)

June 1944 – The Axis is retreating on all fronts. The German army does not have the strategic initiative anymore and is trying to strengthen its defensive lines in order to stop the progress of Russian forces on the Eastern Front, and to prevent any landing from the Allied forces in the West. The Atlantic Wall seems unbreakable but rumors about a possible seaborne invasion in the north of France puts the German commanders under pressure. And suddenly, on June the 6th, the Allied forces launch one of the most audacious operations of the whole war. The world’s destiny is a stake on the Normandy beaches…

Successor of the very successful Frontline: Road to Moscow that reached the top of the charts on iPad this past spring, The Longest Day moves the action west and focuses on the D-Day operation that turned the tide of the war. From developer 88mm, this new chapter of the Frontline saga preserves the strengths that made it popular – original art direction, variety of units, and streamlined UI – and introduces deeper gameplay elements to provide a more realistic simulation of the battlefield. As the 5 massive campaigns unfold, players will have to take into account more and more variables like landmines, flanking maneuvers, and encirclements in order to breach the heavy Axis defensive lines.

The game is now ready to enter the beta phase on iPad, iPhone and PC. And we invite players to help us test it! By signing up for the beta, players will have a chance to visit the Normandy beaches before release and help us with the final touches, ensuring a smooth release on iOS and PC later this year.

Players can sign up for the beta by clicking here.

verdun-logoWe’re getting close to release…

Verdun has been surging forward as more than 85,000 players have played the World War One (WW1) FPS in Early Access already. Verdun is currently available on PC, Mac and Linux via Steam Early Access.

The Last Big Update

In order to keep up the momentum before going live, M2H and BlackMill Games are releasing their last big update. This update features a lot of improvements based on valuable feedback from the huge group of players that dove into the tactical trench warfare of Verdun this summer.

There have been some improvements to the performance and the inclusion of realistic bullet physics will have a profound impact on the First Person Shooter gameplay, as players now have to lead their targets and adjust their sighting in order to make an accurate shot. Today, Verdun released another big patch introducing competitive squads, advanced gameplay, iconic weaponry and another realistic map.

A new assault squad type which features 2 new authentic historic units; the “Stosstruppen” for the Germans and the “Canadian Assault Squad” for the Allies made their appearance in-game. Both new squads can call upon a dreadful new weapon, Gas! Gas was one of the most iconic elements of World War one and will be linked to Verdun’s unique squad levelling system. So get your gasmasks ready!

Also the British ‘Tommies’ will make their entrance to the war, and players will be able to fight with a new range of weaponry including the famous Lee-Enfield rifle and the iconic Lewis light machine gun. Other notable weapons released within this patch are the fearsome Trench Club and Feldspaten. Melee weapons that were ideal for close-quarter fighting!

Exciting news for WW1 history fans, Verdun has another new realistic WW1 map inspired by the battles of Vimy Ridge, Loos and Neuve Chapelle which took place in the Artois sector of the Western Front. The map named Artois features a massive German “redoubt”, which was a mine quarry turned fortress. The grim soil landscape is reflected visually, with slag heaps towering over the battlefield and endless rows of barbed entanglements dominating the scenery. Harsh conditions for the soldiers to live and fight in.

Find out more about Verdun at the games official website.
